Woodstock Summer Concert Series Continues June 9

Love and Theft, a country music duo, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Woodstock's 21st annual Summer Concert Series will continue Saturday will a performance by Love and Theft. This country music duo will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. June 9 at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater at the Park at City Center.

You can expect to be entertained wit hits such as "Angel Eyes," "Runaway," and "If You Ever Get Lonely." The second installment of the 2018 concert series means the downtown Woodstock area will see a spike in pedestrian and vehicular traffic. To to help with traffic management, the city will offer a free shuttle service for the concerts. A total of 6 buses will run two routes:

  • Route 1: Northside Hospital Towne Lake Parking Deck (900 Towne Lake Parkway) traveling to and from the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater at 101 Arnold Mill Road.
  • Route 2: Woodstock City Church (150 Ridgewalk Parkway) traveling to and from the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.

The shuttles will run during each summer concert from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Additionally, the city has designated an Uber/Lyft drop-off and pick-up location at the Chambers at City Center at 8534 Main Street. Of course, the city's trolley will run its normal routes during special events. You can check out the destinations and stops by visiting the city's website.

On Saturday, July 14, Departure: The Journey Tribute Band will headline the show. Departure replicates the look, sound and feel of the 80's iconic group. Hailing from Atlanta, Departure has taken to downtown's Madlife Stage many times, which has allowed the band to develop a large following in Woodstock.

Everclear will take to the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater stage on Saturday, Aug. 11. The popular 90's alternative rock band will take you back with their hits like "Father of Mine" and "Santa Monica," and is sure to be a favorite in this year's lineup.

The closing show of the 21st annual Woodstock Summer Concert series will be announced soon due. Be sure to mark your calendars for Sept. 8 when this Southern rock band will provide us with a performance you don't want to miss.
