Teacher Celebrates Launch of Debut Novel at FoxTale Book Shoppe

Sheryl Parbhoo, a mother of five, blogger, teacher, realtor, wife and now a novelist, publishes "The Unexpected Daughter."

Sheryl Parbhoo wears many hats including her latest, novelist. The mother of five is also a teacher at Cherokee High School and a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway.

On her popular blog, Southern Life, Indian Wife, Parbhoo has written about her experiences with multicultural marriage and family life. Her reflections on Indian and Southern culture in her life, as well as the responses she receives from readers, are the real life inspirations for the characters in The Unexpected Daughter.

Sheryl will host her official book launch at downtown Woodstock's FoxTale Book Shoppe on Saturday, March 4 at 2 p.m. The event is free to attend and open to the entire community. The debut author will gladly sign copies of "The Unexpected Daughter" purchased at FoxTale Book Shoppe.

In "The Unexpected Daughter," three people’s very different lives and cultures intersect in a tumultuous yet redeeming way that none of them could have ever predicted — leaving them forced to make choices about love and family they never wanted to make while finding peace where they never expected to look.

Because of the recognition of Southern Life, Indian Wife, many doors opened to Parbhoo which led her to this celebration. Sheryl has become a contributor to various online magazines and other blogs, which led to radio interviews and an interview at PBSNewshour.
