YANMAR North America Opens Training Center In Cherokee County
The company held a ribbon cutting this week at its facility along Highway 92 in the southwest part of the county.
ACWORTH, GA -- YANMAR North America has cut the ribbon on its new training center housed in southwest Cherokee County. The ceremony, which included an appearance by Gov. Nathan Deal, was held this week at the facility situated on 50 acres of land at the corner of Highway 92 and Old Alabama Road between Acworth and Woodstock.
The company's new Evo Center marks the seventh international company that has opened the Cherokee 75 corporate corridor, the Cherokee Office of Economic Development said on its Facebook page.

YANMAR is a global manufacturer of advanced industrial and marine diesel engines, generators and construction and agricultural utility vehicles. Its 50,000-square-foot facility in Cherokee County will feature classrooms with dedicated space for each of the company's product lines: industrial diesel engines and generators, commercial marine diesel engines, agriculture equipment, construction equipment, utility task vehicles and energy systems; an auditorium; museum; gift shop; cantina; office space and meeting space. Outdoor amenities will include a customer experience area for product demonstrations.
Plans for the facility include not only product and technical training, but also business management training, marketing and event training, collaborative training courses with strategic business partners and more. The company also plans to work with local high schools and colleges on courses for their students, industry partners on local events and clinics, regulatory bodies for safety and operational courses and the local community for events such as farmer’s markets, association meetings and other special events.
