Liberty Mutual has awarded Insure Idaho a 2026 Make More Happen™ Award for its impactful partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children build confidence, develop meaningful connections, and reach their full potential through mentorship. The award includes a $5,000 donation, which can be doubled to $10,000 through online community support.

Starting today, Insure Idaho and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho’s story is featured on the official Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/insure-idaho, where supporters can vote to help unlock the full $10,000 donation. If the story receives at least 750 combined votes and comments, the $5,000 award will be doubled. Funding would help support more than 10 mentor matches, providing year-round opportunities and activities that strengthen relationships, build confidence, and encourage personal growth for participating youth.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho believes every child deserves a stable, caring adult in their corner – someone who supports them, encourages them, and helps them believe in their potential. That mission resonated deeply with Insure Idaho Principal Carrie Purcell, who has served as a Big Sister twice and experienced firsthand the meaningful impact mentorship can have on a child’s confidence and future.

Through both mentoring relationships, Carrie watched her Littles grow more confident, open, and willing to dream bigger, reinforcing the long-term value of programs that provide children with consistent support and connection.

“Children thrive when they have someone who consistently shows up and encourages them to believe in their potential,” said Carrie Purcell, Principal at Insure Idaho. “Having a trusted adult to turn to can build confidence and remind a child that they matter.”

Insure Idaho supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho through sponsorships, donations, and active participation in the Annual Big Little Dill Pickleball Tournament. Last year, they collectively raised more than $10,000, while agency leadership also serves on the Big Impact Group Board,

attending monthly meetings and local fundraising events throughout the Boise community. Together, the agency and nonprofit are helping create meaningful connections that extend far beyond a single event.

The $10,000 Make More Happen Award would help fund activities that strengthen mentor relationships and encourage creativity, exploration, and personal development, including indoor rock climbing, museum visits, DIY vision boards, cooking projects, photography challenges, and more.

“Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards are all about,” said Paula Russell, Senior Territory Manager, Liberty Mutual Insurance. “Insure Idaho’s commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Idaho demonstrates how mentorship and community involvement can help young people build confidence, create meaningful connections, and achieve long-term success.”

Throughout 2026, Liberty Mutual Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications that highlight their commitment to a specific cause.
