Marsh McLennan Agency Earns Make More Happen™ Award for Cultivating Joy for Children Facing Med

Liberty Mutual Insurance has awarded Marsh McLennan Agency a 2026 Make More Happen™ Award for its dedication to supporting children facing medical conditions through its partnership with Camp River Run. The award includes a $5,000 donation, which can be doubled to $10,000 through online community support.

The Marsh McLennan Agency’s story is featured on the official Make More Happen microsite, https://www.agentgiving.com/marsh-mclennan-agency-ID, where supporters can vote to help unlock the full $10,000 donation. If the story receives at least 750 combined votes and comments, the $5,000 award will be doubled. The additional funding would help Camp River Run offset rising camp costs and allow more children to attend camp in 2026.

Camp River Run gives children battling medical conditions the opportunity to experience the joy, freedom and friendship of summer camp in a setting designed just for them. Through meaningful connections and unforgettable activities, the nonprofit helps campers embrace their individuality while rediscovering the magic of simply being a kid.

That mission has inspired years of support from Marsh McLennan Agency through volunteering, fundraising and hands-on involvement. Several agency colleagues volunteer at camp each year, while others serve on the board or support fundraising events throughout the year.

Marsh McLennan Agency also sponsors Camp River Run’s largest annual fundraiser, with employees helping sell tickets, assist with auction items and show up in force to support the cause. Four colleagues even spend part of their summer serving as camp counselors, where they are matched one-on-one with campers and cheer them on throughout the week. That ongoing commitment has helped make Camp River Run part of the agency’s culture of giving back.

“Several colleagues volunteer at camp every year, and a few others sit on the board,” said Renae Goodwin, Risk Management Advisor at Marsh McLennan Agency. “Colleagues have been so impacted by doing so that they come back every year to use their VTO hours and support campers.”

For the Marsh McLennan Agency team, supporting Camp River Run means helping more children facing medical challenges experience connection, confidence and the joy of camp while giving them the freedom to simply be kids.

Throughout 2026, Liberty Mutual Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications that highlight their commitment to a specific cause.
