Rake Up Boise 2026: How to Get Help or Volunteer (kidotalkradio.com) — Rake Up Boise returns this fall, offering free yard help to eligible Boise and Ada County residents who are seniors, veterans, or people with disabilities. Applications are open now, with an October 16 deadline for residents and October 23 for volunteer teams, ahead of the November 14 cleanup week.
   

2. Disability task force recommends accessible rideshares, events, removing pathway barriers, and more (boisedev.com) — Boise's Cross Disability Task Force is urging city leaders to improve accessibility across town, from safer sidewalks and better-distributed ADA parking to wheelchair-accessible rideshares and more inclusive public events. Members shared lived experiences with the Boise City Council, pushing for codifying the task force so its work on pathways, parking, and city programs continues long term.
   

3. 4. Boise State mental health organization bridges the gap between sports and mental well-being (ktvb.com) — Boise organizations are marking National Suicide Prevention Month with BroncoBOLD, a Boise State program that now reaches 20 Treasure Valley high schools. Using sports to spark honest conversations, it trains student ambassadors, promotes the 988 lifeline, and encourages simple but powerful acts like listening to classmates who may be struggling.
   

5. Idaho is home to over 50 wildflowers found nowhere else on earth (boisedev.com) — Boise hikers can spot one of Idaho's rarest wildflowers, Aase's Onion, right in the city's foothills reserves like Camel's Back, Hulls Gulch, and Military Reserve.
