Author's history book added to NIC library (cdapress.com) ā North Idaho Collegeās Coeur dāAlene campus library has added a new local history book highlighting families from nearby Hayden and Hayden Lake, and itās available to any resident with photo ID. Written by 94-year-old Hayden native Barbara Bennett, the volume was championed by the Kootenai County Genealogical Society as a valuable resource for genealogy and regional history research.

Gas prices dip, but AAA warns of a bumpy summer ahead (kmvt.com) ā Drivers in Coeur dāAlene currently enjoy the lowest reported gas prices in Idaho at $4.50 a gallon, just under other major cities. AAA warns, however, that ongoing oil market volatility and Middle East tensions could make summer fuel costs unpredictable despite this brief dip.
