• Jerome County names Gary Taylor as new sheriff after Oppedyke resigns over Flock camera data misuse (kivitv.com) — Jerome County has appointed longtime undersheriff Gary Taylor as the new sheriff, following the retirement of former Sheriff George Oppedyke amid an investigation into his use of a license plate scanning system. Taylor, who has effectively been running the department for the past month, says his top priority is rebuilding public and internal trust and helping the sheriff’s office heal from recent turmoil.
