• SBA Offers Relief to Idaho Small Businesses and Private Nonprofits Affected by Drought (vannuysnewspress.com) — Small businesses and nonprofits in Jerome County can now apply for low-interest federal disaster loans to cover economic losses from this spring’s drought. Eligible organizations can borrow up to $2 million for working capital needs, with deferred payments for 12 months and terms up to 30 years. Applications are open now and must be submitted by January 4, 2027.

• Jerome man pleads guilty to accessory charge in murder case (kmvt.com) — An 18-year-old Jerome resident, Dax Richins, is at the center of a murder case in which the final suspect, Nathaniel Felix, has now pleaded guilty to accessory to murder in Gooding. Felix admitted helping dispose of Richins’ body and faces sentencing on July 28, while the two main defendants are already serving life sentences.
