1. Sheep, lamb, wool, and ewe! A festival on Farm Road (wsu.edu) — Families in Moscow can head to the UI Sheep Center on Farm Road Oct. 10 for a hands-on sheep festival with lambs, demonstrations, and free tastings from local chefs. Hosted by WSU’s vet college and the University of Idaho, the event runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is designed as a fun, educational outing for all ages.
   

2. North Idaho Legislative Tour Coming to Moscow (bigcountrynewsconnection.com) — Moscow will host Idaho legislators, business leaders, and partners Nov. 8–10 for the North Idaho Legislative Tour, centered on showcasing the community’s economy and institutions. Events include visits to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport, University of Idaho facilities, and a Governor’s Banquet at ICCU Arena, giving locals a rare chance to put Moscow’s strengths directly in front of state policymakers.
   

3. Thomas Clements, 72 (bonnercountydailybee.com) — Moscow residents are informed of the passing of artist Thomas H. Clements, who died in town April 18 at age 72. Remembered for his sensitive landscapes, gentle humor, and love of film, he leaves behind a legacy of beauty and care. A memorial gathering is planned Oct. 3 in Sandpoint for family and friends to honor his life.
   

4. Randall Brooks named University of Idaho Extension director in Moscow (idahobusinessreview.com) — A longtime University of Idaho Extension forester, Randall “Randy” Brooks, has stepped into a new leadership role based at the Moscow campus as Extension director and associate dean. Drawing on 35 years of service, he plans to visit Extension offices statewide, remove obstacles for staff, and better document Extension’s impact to local communities and decision-makers.
   

5. MSU Bobcats remain undefeated, prepare for Idaho Vandals (nbcmontana.com) — Moscow will host a big Friday night matchup as the undefeated Montana State Bobcats visit the Idaho Vandals, who are still seeking their first win despite several close losses. The game at the Kibbie Dome gives local fans a chance to see if the Vandals can snap MSU’s long winning streak and turn their season around at home.
