• PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP: Bulldogs speed past Bengals, Spartans close out season (bonnercountydailybee.com) — Sandpoint High’s boys soccer team rolled to a 7-0 league win over Lewiston on Thursday on their Ponderay home field, sharpening up before the state tournament. • One dead in Bonner County house fire (spokesman.com) — Fire crews from Northside, Selkirk and Sandpoint responded to a deadly early-morning house fire off North Kootenai Road, with the first engine coming from the Ponderay station. Despite entering through a bedroom window and searching amid heavy fire, collapse, and clutter, firefighters later found the resident dead near the back door; investigators are probing a wood-stove area but haven’t pinpointed a cause.
