Council approves final PUD for Ridley Village Court townhome development (bonnercountydailybee.com) — Sandpoint City Council has approved the final planned unit development and preliminary plat for Ridley Village Court, a 56-townhome project south of Highway 2 between Ridley Village Road and Madison Avenue. Residents raised concerns about the common area’s location and buffering with nearby Maplewood homes, but officials said the design meets city requirements and will bring significant impact-fee revenue.
   

2. Bonner County News of Record - June 29, 2026 (bonnercountydailybee.com) — Law enforcement handled a busy June 29 across Sandpoint and Bonner County, including traffic issues, non-injury crashes, a reported sex offense in the greater Sandpoint area, and several welfare and disturbance calls. The Sandpoint Police, Bonner County Sheriff, Ponderay Police and Priest River Police all logged activity that helps residents understand current safety patterns in their neighborhoods.
   

3. 'A core memory': White Pines Lacrosse takes next step with semi-pro team (bonnercountydailybee.com) — A Sandpoint-based lacrosse organization, White Pines, has launched a semi-pro box lacrosse team that’s giving local players, including Sandpoint High standouts, a higher-level option when they return home. Practices and youth development still center on growing the sport in Sandpoint, while home semi-pro games are played in Spokane until an indoor facility, possibly in Ponderay’s Field of Dreams, becomes reality.
   

4. Eight years in the making, new Canfield Mountain trail opens to the public (sandpointreader.com) — A Sandpoint-based trail leader helped bring a major new non-motorized trail to life on Canfield Mountain near Coeur d’Alene, now open to the public after eight years of planning and construction. The 3.2-mile Honey Badger Project trail is the first phase of a much larger system that will eventually add miles of non-motorized and motorized routes, all built by North Idaho crews to boost local recreation and the economy.
