1. Idaho continues fight against invasive quagga mussels in Snake River (ktvb.com) — State agriculture officials are in their fourth year treating the Snake River near Twin Falls to eradicate invasive quagga mussels that threaten local ecosystems and water infrastructure. Crews are applying a copper-based treatment around the Twin Falls boat dam while closely monitoring water safety. Expect the Twin Falls Dam boat launch to remain closed through Sept. 5, with Shoshone Falls' launch closed Sept. 6. 
2. Firefighters quickly contain Twin Falls house fire (kivitv.com) — A house fire on the 200 block of Madrona Street in Twin Falls was knocked down in under 10 minutes after police first evacuated the home and firefighters attacked heavy flames. No injuries are mentioned, but officials urge residents to test smoke alarms monthly, replace batteries, and ensure alarms are installed on every level and near sleeping areas.
3. CSI Volleyball prepares for Starr Corporation Invitational Tournament at home (kmvt.com) — The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team is back in Twin Falls to host the Starr Corporation Invitational starting tonight, opening against Treasure Valley Community College at 7 p.m. With an 6–2 record and a young, mostly freshman roster, players and coaches say they've grown tighter on recent road trips and are eager to show home fans what this nationally ranked squad can do.
4. Idaho House speaker honors Jordan Salinas for actions during In-N-Out shooting (kivitv.com) — Idaho House Speaker Mike Moyle has honored Jordan Salinas with the Speaker's Award for Patriotic Valor for confronting the gunman during the deadly August shooting at the Twin Falls In-N-Out. Local law enforcement, including the Twin Falls County sheriff, say Salinas and two others helped divert the shooter, actions they believe saved many lives despite the tragedy.
5. A Taste of Peru: New Bar and Grill 'BRIDY' Opens in Gooding (kmvt.com) — A new Peruvian bar and grill called BRIDY in Gooding is quickly becoming a regional destination, drawing many diners from Twin Falls as word spreads. Owner Raul Jacobi Limachi serves fresh, made-to-order traditional dishes while introducing customers to Peruvian culture. Early reviews from Magic Valley visitors have been enthusiastic, helping turn the small-town spot into a go-to culinary adventure.
