• Tournament nets $10K for cancer support (shoshonenewspress.com) — Wallace Jr./Sr. High School just hosted the inaugural Silver Valley Hoops 4 Hope 4-on-4 basketball tournament, drawing over 130 players and raising about $10,000 for cancer support and research. Half the funds go to the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center and half to a local recipient, with organizers already planning to make this Wallace-based event an annual tradition.
   

• Jodi Lynn Bentley, 50 (cdapress.com) — Wallace and Osburn families are mourning the loss of 50-year-old Jodi Lynn Bentley, a Wallace High School graduate who passed away May 6 after battling lymphoma. Raised partly in Sheridan and the Silver Valley, she leaves behind three children, close family in Wallace and Osburn, and many friends. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
