It's a new year — time for a new you and, possibly, a new job. If finding a new career or a better-paying job is on your new year's resolutions list, personal finance site WalletHub has some tips on the best places in Illinois to find a job.

The site crunched the numbers from job markets across the United States to find this year's best places for employment. They looked at approximately 180 cities for things like job opportunities to employment growth to monthly average starting salary.

"College graduates, especially, will see a strong boost in their job prospects," WalletHub said. "According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, employers plan to hire 4 percent more members from the Class of 2018 than from the previous graduating cohort."

The study isn't great news for the Land of Lincoln. No Illinois city made the top 10 best places to find a job — or event the top 100. The top five cites, according to the study, are (1) Chandler, AZ; (2) Scottsdale, AZ; (3) San Francisco; (4) Peoria, AZ; (5) Gilbert, AZ.

Only two Illinois cities made WalletHub's list: Aurora (No. 123 nationally) and Chicago (No. 133).
