Calling All Pumpkin Carvers: Submit Your Photos To Patch

ILLINOIS — We are looking for the creepiest, most creative jack-o-lanterns Chicago-area pumpkin carvers have come up with this Halloween. And we are now accepting photo submissions, with plans to showcase the best of the best in the days leading up to Halloween.

Would you like to show off your jack-o-lantern to thousands of Patch.com readers across the state? Well, here's your chance.

Send a picture, along with a little information about your creation, to Patch.com editor Amie Schaenzer at amie.schaenzer@patch.com by Oct. 24. Please put "PUMPKIN" in the subject.

We'll give bonus points to great stories along with great pumpkin pictures, so now is your time to show off. Please let us know a bit more a bit about your pumpkin's backstory, like who carved the pumpkin — their name, age and town of residence — and what makes this jack-o-lantern special. Let us know how long it took, why the pumpkin carver decided on this design, and what went into making the finished product?
