60-Degree Temps On Friday, Before Cold Returns For The Weekend In Illinois
The cold returns on Saturday, and there is even a chance for accumulating snow on Sunday night.
A mild end to the work week is in store, before colder temperatures return for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Thursday will have a high of 47, and should be dry and sunny. Friday will be "unseasonably mild" with highs in the low and mid-60s, according to the current forecast.
There is an elevated risk of fire on Friday due to the combination of mild, dry air and strong winds, the weather service said. Winds could gust up to 35 mph late Friday morning and afternoon.

The colder weather returns on Saturday, which has a high of 47, and a chance of snow. Sunday will have a high of 35, and a chance for accumulating snow on Sunday night, according to the weather service.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
