Life Sentence For 'Family Feud' Contestant Who Killed Wife: Reports
The Illinois man joked in an episode of "Family Feud" that he regretted marrying his wife, who he later killed, according to reports.

QUINCY, IL — An Illinois man was sentenced to life in prison after killing his wife, whom he joked that he regretted marrying in an episode of “Family Feud,” according to reports.
Timothy Bliefnick was sentenced Friday to natural life behind bars after he was convicted by a jury in May of first-degree murder and home invasion following the Feb. 23 shooting of Becky Bliefnick, a 41-year-old nurse and mother of three, KHQA reported.
Timothy Bliefnick biked to his wife’s home, climbed lawn furniture to reach the second level of the residence, entered through a winodw and shot her 14 times, according to KHQA.

“Some of those shots were fired while she was laying on the ground and you did all of that while your children were upstairs at your house, laying snug in their beds,” Judge Robert Adrian said, according to WGEM.
Timothy Bliefnick had filed for divorce more than two years before he killed his wife and the proceeding was still ongoing at the time of her death, WGEM reported.

Timothy Bliefnick declined to speak at sentencing, according to KHQA, but his attorney asked the judge to consider her client’s college education, financial stability, and lack of prior criminal record, WGEM reported.
The 40-year-old appeared on “Family Feud” in 2020, when he joked to host Steve Harvey that he regretted marrying Rebecca Bliefnick, USA Today previously reported.
