Tyler Paydon sent us this sunrise photo, taken at the Prescott Mill subdivision in Oswego.

There's a lot going on in this photograph sent to us by Trisha Raap, taken at her Elgin home.

Sue Marines photographed these red-breasted mergansers, who were visiting Valley Lo Pond in Glenview, earlier this month. She said the duck visitors came early this year as they were migrating through on ther way further north. "This year, [it was] a small flock of about 12 to 15, which is the most we've seen together," Marines said.
