Storms Possible, Rainy Start To Weekend For Illinois
Storms are possible, but severe weather is not expected Friday night.
ILLINOIS — Storms and rain will kick off the weekend on Friday, and continuing into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
A "system of rain showers" will move through the area starting Friday evening, and ending Saturday morning. The high for Friday is 82, and cooler on Saturday with a high of 78.

The weather service said rain is likely Friday night, as well as some thunderstorms. The primary threat for storms is highest south of Interstate 80.

The weekend will end on a dry note on Sunday, with a high of 81.
Warm temperatures will return for the work week, with a high of 87 on Monday and Tuesday, the weather service said. The next chance for storms returns on Tuesday.
