Tuesday Is Last Day To Register In-Person To Vote In Illinois

ACROSS ILLINOIS — Tuesday, Oct. 9 is the last day for Illinois residents to register in-person for the Nov. 6 election at the offices of your local election authority. However, voters have until Oct. 21 to register to vote online through the State Board of Elections website.

Here is a list of important election events happening through the 2018 November midterm elections:

• Oct. 9: (See above)
• Oct. 10: First day for grace period registration, voting or changing an address in the office of the election authority of designated location.
• Oct. 21: Last day for voters to register to vote through the State Board of Elections website (See above)
• Oct. 22: First day of early voting for counties who have early voting at polling locations outside the office of the election authority.
• Oct. 29: Last day for any voter who is a member of the U.S. service or their spouses, voting age dependents, non resident civilians and citizens temporarily living outside the U.S. to make an application for an absentee ballot.
• Nov. 1: Last day for the election authority to receive an application by mail from registered voters.
• Nov. 5: Last day for early voting
• Nov. 6: Last day for grace period registration and voting; midterm elections.
