Biles Will Make Competitive Return In Hoffman Estates: USA Gymnastics
With the Paris Olympic Summer Games set for next year, seven-time medalist Simone Biles is ready to get back into competition and will be making her return locally. The 26-year-old, who hasn't competed since the 202o Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021 due to the pandemic), will be part of August's U.S. Classic at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.

Queen Of Hearts $15,000 Winner Sues Plainfield American Legion
A Plainfield resident who calls himself "Big Vic" hired Plainfield attorney John Schrock to file a civil lawsuit against Plainfield American Legion Marne Post 13 contending that the post failed to pay him $15,000 for winning the Queen of Hearts card game on April 21.
Crisis Recovery Center Gets OK From DuPage County Board
A new crisis recovery center has been approved in DuPage County with the aim of providing services for residents who are experiencing a behavioral health or substance use crisis. The $25.8 million project got the go-ahead from DuPage County Board on Tuesday and will include a 33,000 square foot center adjacent to the Linda A. Kurzawa Community Center, at 115 N. County Farm Road.

Chicago Community Centers Open For Refuge From Poor Air Quality
