ALGONQUIN, IL — A new fitness center will be coming to Randall Road, village officials announced this past week. 24-Hour Fitness is planning to open in the former Dania Furniture building.

The building is located in the Galleria in Algonquin, which is across the street from the popular Algonquin Commons. The gym will occupy 40,000-square-feet of the former Dania space, according to village documents provided to Patch. Dania closed in 2016.

The village also announced another noticeable vacancy off of Randall, the former Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us buildings, will soon be filled as well. Floor & Decor will be moving into the stores located in the Oakridge Center.

"The village is very fortunate to have two national tenants select Algonquin and backfill the vacant big box space in our vigorous Randall Road retail corridor," village president John Schmitt said.

Both 24-Hour Fitness and Floor & Decor are expected to open in early 2020.
