300 Jobs Available During ALDI Hiring Blitz

Grocery store chain ALDI is hosting a one-day hiring spree on Tuesday for most of its locations throughout the Chicago area. The hiring events aim to fill more than 300 positions across the city and surrounding suburbs. ALDI — with local locations in Crystal Lake, Algonquin and Cary — said the hiring push is a result of the company's "ongoing growth" in the Chicago area. According to the Germany-based company with U.S. headquarters in Batavia, its grocery stores are known for offering better wages and benefits than the national average for the retail industry.

The hiring spree is set for Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The following suburban locations are among the Aldi stores hosting hiring events:

• Crystal Lake Aldi, 5831 Northwest Highway
• Geneva Aldi, 975 E. State St.
• Buffalo Grove Aldi, 1202 W. Dundee Road
• Elgin Aldi stores, 799 Summit St. and 215 S. Randall Road
• North Aurora Aldi, 199 Miller Drive
• St. Charles Aldi, 2670 W. Main St.
• Cary Aldi, 3340 Three Oaks Road
• Algonquin Aldi, 425 S. Randall Road
• Batavia Aldi, 451 N. Randall Road

Positions:

• Store Associate - $11.75 – $13.50 per hour, depending on location
• Shift Manager - $16.25 – $18.00 per hour, depending on location
• Manager Trainee - $54,000 – $56,192 per year ($22.25 - $22.75 per hour averaging 45 hours per week), with an opportunity to earn $76,000 to $100,000 per year as a Store Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday - Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Management experience preferred for Manager Trainees
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds
