ALGONQUIN, IL — A 39-year-old Algonquin woman accused of killing the parents of a man she dated is expected in court on Friday after being extradited this week from Colorado.

Arin M. Fox, of the 600 block of Red Coach Lane, faces four counts of first-degree murder in McHenry County in connection with the stabbing deaths of Noreen S. Gilard, 69, and Leonard J. Gilard Jr., 73, on Nov. 8. Fox is being held at the McHenry County Jail on a $5 million bail.

Fox was arrested in November after fleeing to Douglas County, Colorado, the day of the murder, authorities said. She has been in custody in Colorado and awaiting extradition since.

Fox was transported this week back to Illinois by members of the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, Algonquin deputy police chief Ryan Markham told Patch.

Besides the murder charges, Fox is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a converted motor vehicle. She also faces aggravated battery and domestic battery charges for allegations she pushed the elderly man two days before the stabbing occurred, according to McHenry County Court documents.

Officers with the Algonquin Police Department found the elderly couple dead inside their home on Red Coach Lane after conducting a well-being check at the residence at about 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 8.

Arin Fox and the Gilards' son dated at "one point," but it's unclear if they were in a relationship at the time of the murder, Markham said Thursday. The son was "not involved" in the stabbing, authorities have said.

Fox is expected in court starting at 9 a.m. Friday for an arraignment and bond hearing.
