6 Ways To Volunteer With LITH Parks, Recreation Department

The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department is seeking volunteers for events and programs coming up in the months ahead.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL – The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to help out at events planned for the warmer months ahead. Help is always needed at the village's race events, including the Run thru the Hills in April, the LITH Triathlon in June and the Sunset 5K over Labor Day weekend. At those events, volunteers assist in registering athletes, handing out goodie bags and directing participants on the course, according to the village of Lake in the Hills resident newsletter

The local parks and recreation department is also seeking help at its Park Clean-up Day, held in April each year and is also looking for those willing to volunteer through the village's Adopt-A-Park Program. The Adopt-A-Park Program allows groups to choose to take care of one of the many parks in Lake in the Hills, keeping it clean and litter-free for a year.

Volunteers will also be needed at the village's annual Summer Sunset Festival over Labor Day weekend.
