Algonquin Armed Robbery: Police Ask For Help

They got away with cash, tablets and cellphones. Police are asking for the public's help in solving the crime.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Verizon-Go Wireless store on Algonquin Road was robbed Thursday, Nov. 30, around 7:30 p.m., according to a press release from the Algonquin Police Department.

Two men entered the business and "displayed a handgun" to an employee, the release said. The duo got away with cash, tablets and cellphones and nobody was hurt during the robbery.

One suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-6, about 160 pounds, clean shaven and wearing a black quilted jacket.

The other suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, about six feet tall and 180 pounds, clean shaven and wearing a black hoodie with blue jeans.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the two suspects. Anybody with information on the incident or suspects is urged to call the Algonquin Police Department at 847-658-4531.
