Algonquin Commons Shops Remain Open During Construction

Stores at the Algonquin Commons remain open as a construction project to upgrade the mall’s sidewalks and parking lot is underway, the Daily Herald reports.

Some foot and vehicle traffic is being re-routed during the construction project that is expected to wrap up this fall, according to the article.

For example, there are currently walkways set up from the parking lot to a new sidewalk at Shoelace, Charming Charlie, Hallmark, Carters, Gymboree, J Jill, Pottery Barn, Victoria’s Secret, Rue 21 and Torrid, according to the Algonquin Commons website.

The parking lot is a bit of a maze but the Daily Herald reports there are still places to park and stores remain open.

Also, several stores are holding construction sales. You can visit the Algonquin Commons Facebook page for updates on the sales.

The mall is also handing out free construction hard hats to kids, which can be picked up in the main office.
