The legendary horses will be on hand at a grand opening event in Lake in the Hills.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL --The legendary Budweiser clydesdale horses will be coming to Lake in the Hills at the end of this month. The horses will be on hand at a grand opening event from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Lake in the Hills Speedway, 2700 W. Algonquin Road, on Aug. 30, according to the village of Lake in the Hills e-newsletter. A "mini-parade" will begin at village hall at 3 p.m. and continue to the Speedway.

Those attending the event, which runs from 3 to 4 p.m., can enjoy give-aways and special discounts on select items, including Anheuser-Busch products. The clydesdale horses are used in photos and commercials by the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company for promoting their products.

Also during the event, the village will be selling "mega passes" to the Lake in the Hills Sunset Festival, which runs Aug. 31 through Sept. 2. The first 100 passes will sell for $65 (cash only) and will be "available exclusively at the Speedway."
