Charges Filed In Lake In The Hills Drug Death Case

A 28-year-old man was found dead in a Lake in the Hills home earlier this year. Two men now faces drug-induced homicide charges in the case.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Two suburban men face charges following the drug overdose death of a 28-year-old man in Lake in the Hills earlier this year.

Police say the 28-year-old man was found unresponsive in a home in the 800 block of Dogwood Lane in Lake in the Hills on March 4. Authorities have since determined fentanyl use contributed to his death, according to a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

According to authorities, Jordan C. Schwamb, 21, of Antioch, and Keenan R. Queen, 21, of Libertyville, provided the fentanyl that contributed to the man's death.

Both men have been charged with drug-induced homicide, a Class X felony, and have been arrested.

Queen remains behind bars at the McHenry County Jail on a $500,000 bail, and Schwamb is in custody on a $100,000 bail.

Schwamb is expected back in court on Nov. 5, and Queen is set to appear for a hearing on Oct. 15.
