Construction on New Bike Path in Algonquin Could Start This Fall

Just my 2 Cents

I’m sorry, I don’t get it?

The area that the proposed trail would service has a small population density that “might” utilize the new trail. For those living west of or adjacent to Hanson Rd., they can utilize an already extensive system of bike paths to gain access to the McHenry/ Fox River Bike Trail.

I am not opposed to building and maintaining bike paths (on the contrary, I think there should be more well thought out trails) but why not have more SAFE cross walks (ideally, overpasses) along the Randall Road corridor? Anyone walking or riding across Randall knows this!

Perhaps installing re-hydrating stations (water fountains) at the existing Parks along the trails for those longer rides on hot days?

I love riding a bike for recreation, commuting and shopping but I feel the $$$$$$’s spent on this new project could go toward enhancing our current trail system.
