Driver Crashes Vehicle Into Frozen Pond

Emergency crews found two occupants standing on the roof of the submerged vehicle. No one was injured.

BARRINGTON, IL - No one was injured when a vehicle crashed into a frozen pond at the Crabtree Nature Preserve in Barrington early Saturday morning, according to the Northwest Herald. When firefighters arrived, they found two occupants standing on the roof of the submerged vehicle.

The vehicle was found in a pond about 50 yards from shore in the area of Algonquin and Palatine roads a little after midnight, according to the article. Crews were able to walk a boat out to the two occupants and get them safely to shore.
