Dr. Anthony R Galante of the Algonquin Chiropractic Center, continues to further his education to better serve the community, his patients and their families. Dr. Galante has recently been awarded a Certificate of Completion for “Foundations of Evidence Informed Practice,” a 10 hour course presented by Northwestern Health Sciences University and sponsored by the University of Pittsburg School of Health and Rehabilitation Services.
The Foundations of Evidence Informed Practice program presents a model of evidence-informed practice that includes three types of evidence: clinical experience, patient presentation, and research studies. The program examines the role of each type of evidence in clinical decision-making. It then focuses on knowledge and skills needed to apply research evidence in practice. It consists of three courses plus the booster exercises.
