Famous Dave's In Algonquin Closes
After nine years at the Randall Road location, the Famous Dave's has closed.
ALGONQUIN, IL - Area Famous Dave's fans are going to have to drive a bit further to get their barbecue fix after the Algonquin location recently closed its doors. The Famous Dave's at 1521 S. Randall Road has closed after nine years in business, the Northwest Herald reports. And the property broker, and village officials, are now hoping a new restaurant will be interested in opening in the 6,500-square-foot building, which is located right across from the Algonquin Commons.
“It’s a fabulous location on Randall Road,” Linda Kost of Realty Metrix Commercial told the Northwest Herald.
The Famous Dave's in Algonquin opened in October 2008 after the restaurant chain closed its nearby Carpentersville location, according to the Daily Herald. Village officials are unsure why the restaurant decided to close at the prime location along Randall Road.

Famous Dave's continues to operate suburban restaurants in Addison, Bolingbrook, North Riverside, Oswego and Orland Park.
