The display includes over 300 American flags and will be on display May 19 through May 21.

ALGONQUIN, IL - The Algonquin Commons will be bringing the Field of Honor to the mall May 19 through May 21 in celebration of Armed Forces Day. The Veterans Network Committee has put the Field of Honor together to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to their country while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to a news release. The display includes over 300 American flags, which will be placed around the entire mall to honor the fallen soldiers from Illinois in the Persian Gulf Wars.
The display will be available for all to view day or night. Each flag will display the multiple names, ages, hometown and rank of the fallen soldiers, according to the news release.
There will be members of the Veterans Network Committee onsite 24 hours a day from the day it is set up until the day it is taken down. They will be available to help guide visitors to a specific flag representing a fallen soldier and to watch over the Field of Honor while it is on display, according to the news release.
