Firehouse Subs To Open In Lake In The Hills: Correction

The northwest suburbs can expect three more to open up as the owners, who are cousins, signed an agreement to open four locations.

(Editor's note: A previous version of this story said Firehouse Subs had opened, but that was incorrect. A public relations firm gave the Northwest Herald incorrect information as to the opening, which Patch used. The mistakes have been corrected.)

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Lake in the Hills is getting a new restaurant in early January, as Firehouse Subs is coming on Randall Road.

“We are thrilled to be opening the first Firehouse Subs in Lake in the Hills,” said Pinal Patel, who is opening the franchise with his cousin Mayank, of the same last name, the Northwest Herald reported. The new sub joint will be at 290 N. Randall Rd.

“We joined the Firehouse Subs family not only because we love the food, but more importantly because we align with the brand’s family values and the importance they place on giving back to the community. We couldn’t ask for a better place to open our first restaurant or a more perfect brand to invest with and grow,” Pinal said.

The chain was started over 20 years ago by firefighters. The Herald reported the decor as reflecting the founding family's fire and police service, from a press release. Algonquin-LITH Fire Protection District fire engine 141 is featured alongside a Lake in the Hills welcome sign in a hand painted mural in the restaurant.
