Lake in the Hills' First Senior Housing Facility Opening Soon
The Residences, a 92-unit complex for those age 55 and older, is located at 2601 Village Hall Drive, Lake in the Hills.
A senior housing facility — the first of its kind for Lake in the Hills — soon will open its doors.
After months of construction, The Residences, 2601 Village Hall Drive, will begin allowing new tenants to move into the 92-unit facility March 15, said Pam Boulin, property manager for The Residences.
A handful of residents will begin moving in March 15, and more will continue to move in through the rest of the month, Boulin said.

“Fifty percent of our units are leased so far,” Boulin said. “We have been accepting applications for just over a month and a half.”
Located across the street from and , the senior community for those age 55 and older has studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments available for rent.

Prices range from $575 to $750 for the one-bedroom apartments and between $675 and $875 for the two-bedroom apartments, according to The Residences’ website.
Some of the facilities amenities include a computer room and library business center, fitness center, on-site laundry facilities, patio, conference room and TV lounge with a large-screen high-definition television.

The addition of The Residences is a positive sign of growth for Lake in the Hills, which has seen new construction and the .
Tim Hedges with Chicago-based DKI Real Estate that based on market research, there was a need and desire for apartments geared toward seniors in the village.
Prior to The Residences, Lake in the Hills residents likely had to go to Crystal Lake or Woodstock to find apartments that cater to seniors, Hedges said.
