Former LITH Woman Guilty Of Stealing $30K From Sun City

KANE COUNTY, IL — A former finance manager for Del Webb Sun City Huntley could now face prison time after she pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $30,000 from the retirement community, according to prosecutors. Jennifer F. Lupo, 41, entered the guilty plea to a felony charge of theft.

Between January 2015 and October 2015, Lupo charged $29,763.47 worth of personal items and services to a company credit card she was responsible for as the finance manager for Sun City as well as to the company credit cards of two co-workers, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.

Lupo, formerly of Lake in the Hills, could be sentenced to either probation or between three and seven years in prison during her sentencing hearing on Oct. 22. She remains free on a signature bond.
