Gastropub to Open in Former Applebee's Location in LITH

The Woods Creek Tavern is planning to open soon in the former Applebee’s location along Randall Road in Lake in the Hills.

The gastropub at 251 N. Randall Road will serve high-end craft beer and food and is expected to open in mid-August, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The 5,000-square-foot restaurant is named after nearby Woods Creek Lake in Lake in the Hills, the business’ managing partner David Abraham told the Daily Herald.

The building has been vacant since Applebee’s closed its doors in July 2013, according to the newspaper.
