Gordmans on Randall Road to Close in October

The store is currently offering discount sales.

Gordmans in Algonquin is expected to close by the end of October, the Daily Herald reports.

The closing at 1500 S. Randall Road in Algonquin will leave a large vacancy at the Algonquin Commons. The store is currently offering discount sales and its final day of business is expected to be Oct. 31, according to the newspaper. The national discount retailer opened at the location in 2011.

Tracie Wickenhauser, senior vice president of stores for Gordmans, told the Daily Herald the company plans to keep other stores in the Chicago area open.

“After assessing options, Gordmans is planning to close its store in Algonquin,” Wickenhauser said. “In the Chicago area, Gordmans will continue to operate stores in Vernon Hills at Rivertree Court and in Naperville on Aurora Avenue for our guests who enjoy Gordmans’ incredible value in a wide array of merchandise.”
