Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award Winners Announced
The village of Lake in the Hills recognized three local businesses who received the 2018 during a recent village board meeting.
The village of Lake in the Hills has announced the winners of its 2018 Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Awards. The following businesses were recently recognized as Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award winners:
- Best Community Service: Compassionate Dental Care
- Best Customer Service: Ira’s Bagels
- Employer of Choice: ABC School of Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics & Nail Technology
The village received 134 nominations for 21 different Lake in the Hills businesses. Nominations were accepted through through Dec. 7. The winning businesses were recognized at a Jan. 10 village board meeting.
The businesses will receive recognition throughout 2019 in various village publications, including ad space, social media campaigns, and more.

As a resident, Gordon Larsen was influential in shaping the physical and civic landscape of Lake
in the Hills and believed in philanthropic businesses whose success was attributable to
exemplary service to employees, customers and the community, according to village officials.
Applications and nominations for the 2019 Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Awards program will be accepted throughout the year.
