Hairy Who & the Chicago Imagists: Screening and Archive-O-Rama
Arts, Film, Adults, Music

Join Ed Paschke Art Center (EPAC) and Pentimenti Productions for a screening of “Hairy Who & The Chicago Imagists.” The 2014 documentary, directed by Leslie Buchbinder, historicizes Chicago as an incubator for an iconoclastic group of young artists in the 1960s collectively known as the Imagists, including artists Jim Nutt, Karl Wirsum, Christina Ramberg and Ed Paschke, to name a few. After the screening, join EPAC and the filmmakers for “Archive-o-Rama,” a screening and discussion about the curation, research and assembly process of the film, EPAC’s Howard Street Studio Archive, and ChicagoImagists.com. Archive-o-Rama brings this history alive with unseen Chicago Imagists’ interviews, studio visits and exhibition walk throughs. Have something Paschke related you’d like to donate to our archives? Bring it with, tell us about it, and help us grow this treasure trove of primary source material!
