JcPenney Worker Gets $5K Reward For Customer Service Efforts

ALGONQUIN, IL -- A JcPenney store associate in Algonquin was recently picked to be one of eight employees across the country to receive a $5,000 reward package for their efforts in providing great customer service over the past holiday season, store officials said. Peggy Konopka, a customer experience specialist at the salon at the Algonquin JcPenney, ADDRESS, was the lucky winner. Prior to the holiday season, JcPenney introduced an all-new seasonal hiring incentive, which offered recipients the chance to win a notable trip or prize package.

The reward package includes a choice of a $5,000 trip to Banff, Alberta, Canada; New York City; or Miami – which includes lodging, airfare and entertainment – or the choice of a $5,000 prize package for a smart home, outdoor, technology or glamour bundle, according to a news release. All hourly associates and seasonal associates in stores, supply chain and call centers that remained with the company through Dec. 29 were eligible to win.
