Just How Low Did Temps Go Monday in McHenry County?

The National Weather Service reports low temps throughout the Chicago area for Monday.

McHenry County recorded some of the lowest temps in the Chicago area Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

A low of -8 degrees was recorded in Cary at 5:30 a.m. Monday while Bull Valley recorded a low of -6 degrees at 6:05 a.m. A full list of low temps for communities throughout the suburbs can be found on the National Weather Service website.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for 6 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday for counties throughout the suburbs. Between two to four inches of snow is expected.

And the cold weather is expected to return Tuesday and continue through Thursday night with wind chill values as low as -34 degrees expected Wednesday.
