Lake in the Hills Beaches Opening Soon

Lake in the Hills Beaches open Saturday, May 30

Nothing feels more like summer than a day at the beach! Indian Trail Beach (228 Indian Trail) is open year round from sunrise to sunset. It will be guarded for the summer season from 12pm through 6pm beginning Saturday, May 30. Butch Hagele beach will also open on May 30 and will be guarded from 1pm to 5pm daily. Grab your swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen and spend the afternoon splashing in the waters of Woods Creek Lake.

Daily admission fees are $2 / resident and $5 / non-resident. Lake use tags are available for purchase at a household rate of $40 / resident and $60 / non-resident, resident senior discounts available for those 55 and older. Paddle boat, kayak, and paddle board rentals are available during guarded hours for $11 / hour or $6 / 30 minutes.

The Indian Trail Beach shelter is also available for private rentals. This lively beach shelter includes: 6 picnic tables, swimming (entrance fee included in rental fee), bathrooms (available when beach is guarded), and sand volleyball. Grilling is permitted in the parking lot only. Alcohol is prohibited. Contact the Recreation Department for additional information or check our website www.lith.org.
