Lake in the Hills Playground Reopens With New Equipment

Stoneybrook Park Playground located at the corner of Anderson Drive and David Street in Lake in the Hills has reopened.

Over the past two months, public works staff has worked to install new drainage to improve the site quality, remove most of the existing play sets, and replace it with all new playground equipment including twelve swings, four tot swings, a large feature for 5-12 year olds and another for 2-5 year olds.

The work also includes a new concrete border and walkways, as well as new impact attenuating surface to finish the project.

A ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m., to officially dedicate the playground reopening with the Board of Trustees and some of the staff involved.
