Lane Closures Expected on Main Street in Algonquin on Thursday, Friday

ALGONQUIN, IL - Intermittent lane closures are scheduled on Main Street between Algonquin Road and Washington Street on Thursday, July 14, and Friday, July 15, for soil boring work. Motorists may expect reduced lane widths and flaggers directing traffic while travelling through the area.

Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.

The soil boring work is part of preliminary engineering for roadway and streetscape improvements that were identified in the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan, which was completed in March 2016. To view the plan online, please visit www.algonquin.org/development.
