Light of Christ Worship

Light of Christ Pastor Kendall and Pastor Sharon will continue the sermon series based on various topics that have been brought up by members of the congregation.  This weekend the title will be "Why do some Old Testament laws still stand and others not?" making reference to Bible passages from Leviticus 19:23-27 and Matthew 5:38-42.  Choices of worship for the weekend are as follows:  Blended worship choices are Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 a.m.; Contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.  All services are at 100 Hanson Rd., Algonquin.  Contact Joe Menotti at 847-458-8888 or jwmenotti@aol.com to get involved in the Garden Ministry to help out the local Food Pantry or to secure a garden plot for your personal use.  Phyllis Gaffney is the  one to contact at phylgaff@sbcglobal if you are willing and able to help sort and stock the Algonquin/Lake In The Hills Food Pantry on Mondays or Tuesdays.  Aluminum cans are still being collected for Turning Point by dropping them off in the provided bins in the back of the church parking lot.  Go to www.locchurch.com/camps to register your children for "Under the Stars" VBS the week of July 7-11.  For additional information or to sign up for any programs, call 847-658-9250 or visit www.locchurch.com.
