LITH Debuts New Playground Equipment at LaBuy Park
The new playground equipment has been installed at LaBuy Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on June 6.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL -- The village of Lake in the Hills parks and recreation board is inviting the inviting the community to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new playground at LaBuy Park, 35 Hilltop Drive, on Thursday, June 6. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. The new playground equipment was selected by the Parks and Recreation Board based on input received from residents through an online survey and at an open focus group in February, according to a news release.
The February focus group sought resident assistance in reviewing the six proposed playground concepts and narrowing the options to three that then submitted final proposals.
The equipment ultimately selected features a unique nature-inspired design including three slides, tree branch climber, mountain top climber, and many other fun features, according to a village news release.

Immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the parks and recreation board will hold
their monthly meeting at the park. The public is welcome to attend the meeting.

“These meeting are a great opportunity for residents to learn about current and future projects, as well as provide input and opinions on them” said Fred Mullard, village of LITH director of community services.
