LITH Officials Reveal Buyer Of Former Dominick's Site
U-Haul has purchased the property, village officials said.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL – U-Haul International Inc. won the bid in an online auction for the former Dominick's, paying $5.05 million to purchase the property in March, the Northwest Herald reports. Village administrator Jen Clough said U-Haul closed on the property on Monday and has plans to use a portion of the 72,000-square-foot building for self-storage. Clough said there are a couple retailers interested in partnering with U-Haul to utilize the property and village officials have been in talks with U-Haul representatives regarding possible use of the property "that go beyond self-storage," according to the Northwest Herald.
