Little River Band To Headline Rockin' Ribfest
The Lake in the Hills festival gets underway Thursday and continues through the weekend.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL – The Lake in the Hills Rockin' Ribfest will get underway on Thursday and continue through the weekend at Lake in the Hills Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road. Little River Band will be the headliner for Saturday night while other local bands will take the stage throughout the fest, which, of course, will also have delicious BBQ ribs and cold drinks available for purchase. Tickets are available online for the annual rifest, which is the main fund-raising event for the Lake in the Hills Rotary Club, with four-day passes costing $25, and other day passes ranging from $7 to $10.
The LITH Rotary Club had this to say about its annual festival:
This family-oriented event will feature nationally renowned professional ribbers and great family entertainment. Not only will you experience some of the best grillers and BBQers in the country but other favorites like funnel cakes, homemade lemonAide, roasted corn and much more. After you have had your fill of food kick back and stay to enjoy the rockin’ sounds of some of the best bands in the Chicagoland area.
The festival hours are from 4:30 to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Here is a look at this year's musical entertainment scheduled for each day of the Rockin' Ribfest:
Thursday
- 6 to 8 p.m. – Run Forrest Run: Chicagoland's premier tribute to all things 90s.
- 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.–Too White Crew: Tribute to the golden era of hip-hop, it's a party - it's a show - it's art.
Friday
- 6 to 8:15 p.m. – BLUPRINT: An aggressive top 40-pop Chicago based cover band that generates high-energy performances.
- 9 to 10:30 p.m. – Who's Bad?: An unrivaled celebration of pop music's one true king. Their power-packed performance of Michael Jackson's expansive catalog has ignited crowds on every continent and can only be described as a jaw-dropping musical must-see.
Saturday
- 2:45 to 4:45 p.m.: Black Diamond
- 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. – The Ron Burgundy's: Delivering all your favorite yacht rock and software hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
- 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. – Little River Band: Responsible for some of the biggest hit songs of the 70's and 80's, songs such as - 'Reminiscing', 'Cool Change', 'Lonesome Loser' and many more.V
SUNDAY
- 12 to 3 p.m. – Downpour: Chicagoland's best AC/DC tribute band.
- 3:45 to 6 p.m. – Libido Funk Circus: Laying down some of the most iconic hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
